NEW ZEALAND: Highs and Lows

Living on the world’s steepest street, Baldwin Street, sure is interesting. All day, flocks of tourists come and go snapping photos for some scrapbook. I chose to remember it by conquering it by bike, which I managed to do today after a short ride at Bethune’s Gully. Yesterday at Bethune’s I came across a nudist father on the trail with his not-so-nudist family, but the awesome downhill tracks at Signal Hill remedied any unpleasant mental imagery.

The Octagon, Dunedin’s iconic town centre, is packed with bars, cafés and tourist shops.
