Johnny Guitar

Since age 17, after just 2 years of playing the guitar himself, John Horne has been giving guitar lessons and teaching classes—music is his life. He performs solo and with various local Jazz groups, but feels his legacy is the network of guitarists that he has taught and the music they produce. I’m grateful I had the chance to share John’s story, as he’s a good friend of mine who gave me guitar lessons years ago. It was great to reconnect with him to discover how central music really is to his life and to see the passion he puts into teaching it every day.
